SPRING TOUR 2004- Louisvile, KY and Nashville

sorry guys,.it's been a few days,..
we've been so busy we havne't had the chance to do any tour diarys,.
So hopefuly I'll remember everything!

It's been a whirlwind that's for sure!

So i left off leaving st louis,..
On our way to Louisville, KY, we checked out a place called the cahokie mounds. It's an ancient native american ruin. Basically a lot of mounds
and an ancient sundial made of cedarwood.
Very interestng place,.
akin to the mayan and aztec ruins but on a smaller scale,..

i guess you'll have to wait to see the pics,..I'd talk you though it, but it would take a while,..

We did finally make it Louisville,..a little later than we had planned becuse we forgot about the whole time zone thing,..
We stayed with our new friends, Dan and laura. Now I've never met Dan or Laura before personally, but i"ve heard all about them through our
mutual friend Karen Hogg,..She's known Dan for years, they both teach at the guitar summer workshop. She has always told me what a
great guitarist he is, and I'm so glad to have finally been able to witness it myself,..Sheesh, she wasn't kidding!
Dan and Laura just moved into a beautiful brownstone,..it's absolutely gorgeous! And they were amazingly generous to open up their home to us! we had
a great time!
The first night in town was spent geting to know each other and talking about just about everything under the sun, they're both really awesome and it
was a good time! real chill,..
Day 2 was a pretty chill day as well,..after the 24/7 party in st louis, it was about time to spend a little quiet time and get a little exercize,
walk around and just get wound down.
We did 2 shows in Louisville, the first was a very cool place called the java brewing company. Dan and Laura host the night, they
are both multi-instrumentalists,..Laura plays a mean accordian, and they both are vocalists and songwriters as well,.they sound great
together! Like I said, Karen wasn't kidding!
It was a real great time at JAva, some of Dan's students came out to do a low key jam session, all of them play along with Dan and Laura and they're band members,..
totally no pressure,..rich sat in with his zarb and I got a chance to sing a little too,..
After the jam, rich and I played a set to a real great audience, we drank alot of coffee and then headed out to the air devil's inn
That was a cool place too, but totally different! Rich and I played a semi long set and then hung out for a while blabbing and chatting
as you all know we can do,..
We got back pretty late but still found some more energy to do a little more chatting at the house, and finally went to bed.

We had a short stay in Louisville, and unfortunately didnt' find the time to do any sightseeing,..next year,..
A big shout out going out to Dan and Laura who were absolutely wonderful hosts,..I'm hoping they'll be coming to visit us in NYC this summer!
that would be awesome,..I think I keep saying the same thing over and over,.but the best best thing about touring
is the people that you meet! getting to hear great music is i think the number 2 perk,..actually, it's a tie for first,..
but wait there's more!~
