What beautiful scenery of farms and rolling hills throughout PA,..we had to pass a few horse and buggy carriages along the way,. missed a few turns,.got lost once, but nothing toooo bad, like say, blowing the alternator half way there and praying for a miracle,..lol As some of you know, I shared the evening with Dave Blackledge. He is one cool guy! Someone during his set yelled out that Dave should categorize his music as "reality music" lol I can see that,..He has the uncanny ability to find humor in everyday things,..I think my favorite song is "your butt's too big to dance like that" lol that may not be the exact title, but you get the idea,..he's hilarious and his lyrics are descriptive and he knows how to keep an audience captivated! He told me he's in the top 10 download s from mp3.com (australia) in the comedy category,...i'm not surprised He's awesome,..I'll make sure once I get back to post the links to his website as well as a few others,.. I also had the opportunity to meet a long time supporter and friend Paul Autry.
He writes for quite a few music mags and he's been a big help to me over the years. this is the first time we met in person. I was so happy to finally meet face to face, and I had the added pleasure of meeting his wife Theresa as well. Paul was instrumental in hooking me up with Dave, so, I owe him one,.. I had a great time at Charades,..unfortunatly due to the fact it was the day before Easter sunday, the place wasn't packed to the gills, BUT the people who were there were amazing and attentive. I am really happy to have met some new friends and fans! I'm also excited to announce that it looks like we'll be performing up that way again on June 21st. Dave is hosting his 2nd annual Singer/songwriter festival,..2p-2a,.that's alot fo music! I'm looking forward to being part of it! Don't worry, you'll get all the details and directions,..lol We wound up hanging around for a while after the show,..chatting with new people and Dave gave us an alternate route back to DE,..it was much faster but not as pretty, not that we could see much at 3am,.. Thanks to everyone who bought CDs and joined the mailing list..., to Dave, to John at Charades, and to Paul for all your help! see you very soon!

I'm tired. Rich is tired,.. But we got to sleep in.
Today is basically a family day,..my aunt came by to say hi, and my parents, Rich and my sister had a wonderful dinner. My mom makes the best lasagna in the world,..(it's true! I'm not just saying that) It's my brother's b-day today too! he turned 21,..(happy birthday bobby!) We didn't see him today,..whaa He thinks we all hate him so he's decided to boycott family time,.. hopefully it's a phase,..because it's surely not the case,.
Rich and I also took a nice long walk in the white clay creek park with my sister and her friend Leah,..we had a great time and what a great trail! 2 miles,.ahhh,..exercize,..it's a great thing!
Tomorrow Rich and I have another day off. He's never been to Amish country so I"m taking him! Tuesday is our last date out of town, and then back to NYC for the both of us,..I think this is the first time in a while I don't miss being in NYC after being gone so long,... Hopefully by the time we get back there won't be national guards with automatic weapons roaming the subways and the streets,..that was rather stressful. I think I just needed a vacation,.. actually I know I did,..I'm feeling much better and much happier since,..and meeting such wonderful people in our travels has really lifted my spirits! Thanks to all of you beautiful people!!!!!!!!! ahhhhh time for bed now,..

Hello again folks,..alas, it's my last tour diary entry,..time flies when you're having fun!
Rich and I had a day off on Monday, so we went to Amish country, (lancaster. PA area) IT was a little overcast but a nice day nonetheless,.. I didn't seem to remember how commercialized the stores in the main drag area are,..seems odd that the stores selling "PA dutch" merchandise have no connection to the Amish people themselves,.. We wound up visiting a local farmer's market and brought home a shoo-fly pie, some kind of struedel thing,..they call it strawberry,.. but there's not a strawberry in it,..hmmm some apple butter and peach butter,..yeah we played the good tourists,..but tried to buy goods from the actual local farms rather than the chains,..I try anyway,.. it was a nice day,..later on we got together with my friend jen again had some coffee and some pie,..lol then a good night's sleep for our last night of the tour,..

Tuesday: Paloma's in Baltimore. My friend Jen decided to come along for the ride to Baltimore and invited her good friend Cat along. It was great to have them there in the audience. Tonight's show was a showcase of sorts, run by singer/songwriter Sarah Pinsker. She was great, she performed 2 sets as did I and The Julia set. It was a really enjoyable night of music, great songs indeed~! I had a great time there, I was saddened to find out Paloma's is closing and relocating,.. the club had a great vibe and was a nice listening room! Sarah was an awesome host and I'm glad to have met her along with The julia set peeps as well! After the show Jen and Cat, Rich and I went out for some late night grub and had a great time,..
And here it is, wed night, I'm back in NYC,.. it's so windy I have things blowing off my bookcase in front of the window,. My friend Frank, who was house-sitting for us, did a great job keeping our lovely kitties happy,..and I guess tomorrow it's back to the daily grind! ho-hum,.. I want to thank all of the wonderful people who helped us along the way by opening their homes to us, giving us the opportunity to perform and who gave their support by listening, purchasing CDs, or signing the mailing list in the 8 different towns where we performed. I couldn't have done it without you!!!!! I hope to see all of your beautiful faces again really soon!
Check in next week sometime,..I'll give you all the links to the pics taken at the toritribute show, along with websites for the other artists I played with along the way,.. I'll also be posting pics from the tour once we get them developed,.. to all of my new friends and fans, feel free to drop a line and say hi! everybody! dont' be shy! say hello! till then!
